KEVIN BARNETT
Hey there! I’m Kevin Barnett, the owner and artist behind Barnett Bodyart. Originally from Texas, I made my way to Connecticut in 2024—thanks to a girl (my now wife). Together, we opened the doors to Barnett Bodyart, and it’s been an incredible journey.
I’ve been tattooing professionally since 2014, working primarily in street shops most of my career was a great opportunity to do a vast array of styles and become a well-rounded artist with a particular passion for New School and Neo Traditional. These days I have a focus in bold, colorful, and dynamic pieces. That said, no portraits for me—just not my thing!
At the core of my work is a commitment to making the tattoo experience enjoyable and stress-free. I always draw up designs during the appointment itself, so there is plenty of time to collaborate and make any tweaks needed. This hands-on approach ensures that you get exactly what you’re envisioning without the guesswork or anxiety.
I’m all about building relationships with my clients. We truly love what we do, and our goal is always to provide a great experience in the shop from start to finish.
Ready to get started? Hit the “Book Now” button to schedule a consultation, where I’ll provide an estimate and, if you’re ready, take a deposit to lock in your tattoo date. I can’t wait to work with you!
LUKE WOLFGANG
Hey, I’m Luke Wolfgang—tattoo artist, tattoo machine builder, and lifelong creative. Originally from Massachusetts, I’ve always had a passion for creating in a variety of mediums, from music to woodworking, but nothing quite compares to the fulfillment I get from being a professional tattoo artist.
I began my journey in the tattoo world at 16, when I started a traditional apprenticeship. By 18, I was officially tattooing, and I’ve never looked back. Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of exploring many styles, and my work spans color realism, black and grey realism, anime/video game characters, and neo-traditional. Each of these styles allows me to express different aspects of my creativity, and I enjoy the challenge that each new project brings.
The most rewarding part of my job is seeing my clients’ reactions when they leave my chair. Watching someone’s face light up and hearing them say that their new tattoo is their favorite makes all the hard work worth it. I truly believe that tattoos are a deeply personal and transformative art form, and I’m honored to be a part of that experience for each person who sits down with me.
Whether you’re looking for a realistic portrait, a stylized character, or a bold new design, I’m here to collaborate with you and bring your vision to life.
THIS IS MY FIRST
TATTOO!
WHAT SHOULD I EXPECT!?
You’ve decided that you’re finally ready to get your first tattoo after filling a folder on Pintrest with bookmarks for tattoo ideas. Unsure of what will happen next? You can trust us. Or rather our tattoo shop Barnett Bodyart!
CHOOSING THE BEST ARTIST FOR YOUR TATTOO
If you haven't decided yet on the tattoo artist who will do your first tattoo, we advise choosing someone you feel comfortable with and can envision yourself having fun working with.
We recommend following all of our artists on Instagram to get a feeling of who they are - and what style of tattoos they enjoy doing! A person’s feelings regarding the tattoo on their body are greatly influenced by their tattoo experience. All of Barnett Bodyart's Tattoo artists showcase their work individually online, and they will also make the time to chat if you stop by the shop during business hours.
WHAT TO EXPECT DURING YOUR APPOINTMENT
A good tattoo is rarely something you can get done on your lunch break, unless you want something very, very small. That means you should be prepared to be at our tattoo shop for a decent period of time. So eat before you come (but not after you've drank please) – and bring anything that will help you feel comfortable or keep you busy during downtime!
Barnett Bodyart is fully equipped with Guitar Hero and anyone of our staff is always up for an old fashion beatdown!
